Welcome to Mrs Kokoski's ENG 1DI class in second semester. We embarking on a digital learning journey this semester! I hope you enjoy the class. I've posted our course outline below and I've also re-posted the English Department's Late/Missing Work Policy. Please review this policy.
English Department Late/Missing Work Policy:
To ensure success, assignments/Tests/Presentations/etc. that have been assigned a specific due date are expected to be handed in on that date. If the work cannot be handed in on the assigned due date, the following steps will be taken:
Juniors – Grades 9 &10
1. Interventions will be made with the individual student whose work is missing. These interventions can include:
- Face to face conversations
- Emails
- Messages and reminders through school-related software (i.e., Edmodo or Schoology)
- MSIP Work Requests made through the student’s MSIP period.
2. A phone call will be made to the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s).
Through these various interventions, the goal is to have the student submit the work in a timely manner. If the work is not submitted two weeks after the due date, then the work will NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED for marks.
